Gloom To Bloom
Creative Director & Technical Designer
Gloom To Bloom is a first person world building game that takes place in a forest that has been devastated by a wild fire.
In this project I collaborate with 6 former classmates after we graduated with out Bachelor’s in game design.
Responsibilities
Create the overall concept of the game including the game design document and gantt chart.
Create multiple systems such as the player movement, inventory and interactions (so far).
Ensure proper communication of delays to be able to complete the game within the time frame of 5 weeks.
Tree Chopping System
This is an interaction system that allowed the player to chop down trees in the game in different portions. This video shows a prototype state of the system.
Inventory System
This is the inventory system that I am still currently working on improving but for the most part is complete. This is an integral part of the game that will be used by other developers and can be exported.
Drag System
This is the drag system that I still want to make improvements to but for the moment does not need the attention while other systems do.
Short Prototype footage
This was a short gameplay video taken when we had a tree model added to test out the pickup system, dragging system and the tree
